I'm a recent convert to Rachel Allen, am a big Delia Smith fan but Rachel's recipes are much easier to follow and workout more often than not.
Try the Smoked salmon, leek and potato pie (delicious), I've made this 6 times in the past 3 weeks and it has gone down a treat (15 minutes preparation, in the oven for 1.5 hours, put your feet up, great winter dish). I also made the marshmallows (they need to set overnight) although delicious, abit too sweet for my liking.
The Millionaire's Shortbread is also delicious (gluten free too). I also made the Chicken gougons on Wednesday night, never thought they'd be so nice (did them with gluten free flour and you'd never taste the difference), I expect that I'll be asked to make these again shortly, I've tried loads of varieties of these and these are the best.
