We aim to keep our keep our delivery costs as low as possible while getting you your order promptly and efficiently. We use Nightline Ireland for parcels within Ireland and An Post (Ireland’s national postal service) for small packages within Ireland. All overseas deliveries are done via courier or An Post.

The price that we charge take the following factors into consideration: weight and size of the items, the number of items and the delivery address.

Our aim is to despatch orders within 24 hours within Ireland and delivery is normally 2-5 working days from date despatched (you will receive an email saying that your order has been despatched). For overseas queries, please contact us via email. We will inform you of the status of your order.

To ensure a speedy delivery, why not deliver to your work address. If you enter a home delivery address, please ensure that there is someone there to take in the delivery (a signature is required).

A courier will be used to deliver your parcel, while we supply the courier company with your contact number, they will only contact you in the event of non-delivery. If you are not there, the courier company will either leave a card in your door or contact you by phone, the courier company will only make 1 attempt to deliver your books.

When parcels leave O’Mahony’s, a tracking number is placed in your profile so that you can track your parcel online.

If the courier company has made an attempt to deliver your parcel, you need to contact the courier company directly to re-arrange the delivery (just click on the sign in at the top of this page to get your tracking number and contact information), please note that it can take 48 hours for the courier company to re-schedule your delivery. Ideally deliver to your place of work for the fastest delivery.

Where a customer has ordered a book that is not yet published along with books that are in stock, we will automatically hold the complete order unless otherwise instructed by the customer. Where a customer wants split deliveries and qualifies for free delivery, this will only apply to the first delivery, a delivery charge will be applied on the second order. Where a customer does not qualify for free delivery, appropriate delivery charges will be applied to the all deliveries within the order.

It is our company policy to re-use and re-cycle packaging where possible.

Collection In store

If you choose to collect your books in store, please bring your confirmation email and the credit card that the order was placed with for verification. Please call to our Limerick Shop between the hours of 9am and 5.45pm, Monday to Saturday or on Sunday between 1pm and 5pm.

Shortages

It's important that every product is carefully and thoroughly inspected by you immediately upon delivery. Any shortage on the delivery must be reported within 24 hours of delivery via email. O'Mahony's will not be responsible for any shortage not reported within 24 hours and by the advised method.

Returns Policy

O'Mahony's endeavor to ensure that the condition of every product listed on this website is as described in those listings.

If you are dissatisfied for any reason with any product, you may return your purchase within 14 days for a full refund by post. Goods need to be in original packaging and in a saleable condition (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact). The cost of book covering is not refunded where the customer decides to returns books.

Customers must report any damages by email within 24 hours of delivery i.e. scratches, dents or tears. It’s important that every product is carefully and thoroughly inspected by you immediately upon delivery. O’Mahony’s will not be responsible for any damages not reported within 24 hours.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the correct products are delivered to you, occasionally mistakes can happen. In the event of O’Mahony’s having to send you a replacement product, you must return the original item to O’Mahony’s within 7 days of receiving the replacement product which will have a prepaid return envelope enclosed. O’Mahony’s reserves the right to charge the price of the replacement to the payment card used for the original order if the item is not returned within 7 days. If you decide to keep the original item, just email us and we will charge the cost of the item to the card you used to place the original order.

By purchasing from O’Mahony’s, you agree that a full refund with paid delivery will be your sole and exclusive remedy for any product you receive that is not as described on the O’Mahony’s website, and you waive all other remedies or actions in such event. This does not affect your statutory rights.
