Review by Laszlo
Rating: starstarstarstar (4/5)
Reviewed March 10

I picked up this book because I'd seen the trailer of the new movie, and it grabbed my attention immediately. It seemed such an intriguing story that I wanted to read the book before experiencing the film. I'd also heard mention of a killer twist at the end.... I knew reading the book would, to a certain extent, ruin my enjoyment of the movie, but it's a sacrifice I was willing to make, and it was well worth it. It's a captivating novel to be read in big chunks or at one sitting. You will marvel at the beauty with which the story unfolds before your eyes, wonder at the ease with which the author throws all the clues and twists, of which there are plenty, in your path. A thoroughly engrossing and cleverly constructed story, and yes, the ending is one giant, mind-blowing twist, though not entirely original in my opinion. Still brilliant, though. It hit me like a freight train.
