What made me pick up The Other Hand was the mysterious blurb on the back cover and the increasing number of customers asking for the book. I wasn't disappointed. It is a thoroughly engaging read, and the fact that I didn't know anything about the story in advance made it even more exciting (in general I'm obsessed with knowing as little as possible about what to expect from a book - half the suspense and sense of discovery is lost if you know what's coming). I rushed through the book in a day or two. It's a novel describing blood-chilling events , but there are plenty of very funny and witty moments.
