In an ultra-controlled post-pandemic society, Antoine, a solitary Quadra, leads an existence calibrated by artificial intelligence in a sanitized world where freedom, emotions and dreams are under high surveillance. But one night, a strange dream arises: a lush, sensory jungle. This dream reappears, ever more vivid, until he meets Rachel, a young woman... from 1948.

Between these two beings separated by everything (time, war, technology), an improbable encounter begins. As their dreamlike relationship deepens, they perceive that their eras echo each other, and that the memory of the past could well change the future.

3 stories intertwine and, including transverse characters, pilot the categories of time to facilitate decisive inflections to lead to the resolution of the thrilling plot: must we reinvent humanity? This hybrid novel combines a critical dystopia of techno-control with a sensitive and humanist fable about inner resistance. Through a style that is at once poetic, satirical, and introspective, it addresses the contemporary issues of freedom, memory, love, and meaning in a world dominated by the illusion of security.

Interspersed with philosophical references (Plato, Canguilhem, Arendt, Krishnamurti), dialogues at the "Café des philosophes," and punctuated by interventions from the colorful character Trublicong, the story offers an essential humanist reflection on human nature.
