I have Irish! 1 - Layout of Language Units
The Language Units have a very regular layout in the book, which is:
Súil Siar, who recalls an appropriate vocabulary from the Primary School Irish Curriculum as a pre-educated act. Bunch stones where the language is essential to address the content of the unit. Here we go! which gives students the chance to use the language they have learned in an interactive communicative way.
Listen! which gives students the chance to access the sounds of Irish and to increase their ability to understand the spoken language.
The Grammar Corner where a functional grammar is taught based on what they have learned in the unit until then.
The Cultural Corner that links the language of the unit and an integral part of the Irish language culture. The students in this paragraph are also introduced to a poem or song that is rem .
Thanks to the regularity of the layout, the teacher will be able to plan his / her teaching thoroughly and test the learning immediately.
In addition, students will be able to easily see and check the progress they make by returning to the Stones when necessary and complete the self - assessment checklists at the end of each unit.
The Personal Record: My Own Story and the Workbook
Another basic requirement of the new course is the Personal Record . Every pupil is asked to keep a record of their progress. Attend Irish! 1 on this requirement in two ways - in My Story that the student records their own personal data in Irish (with the help of the Bones ) and in the Workbook containing examples of their work - based on what They learned in the different units.
